I am under the care of a pain management doctor. Recieving cervical epidural steroid injections every 2 weeks. I am taking Ultram 50mg 3 times a day. Sometimes this is not enough to easee the pain in my shoulder and neck. Could I cut one in half and take 1 and 1/2? Any other alternatives? It is very hard to work all day when I am so uncomfortable!

    You can break them as long as it is not Ultram ER.. But generic tramadol 50mg in tablet form can be broken.. There are stronger medications available for pain and if you feel that is necessary you should discuss it with your doctor. Ultram has less side effects than stronger meds so you may be on it so you can continue working safely.

    For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
